Yup… as the title states, we need volunteers for 2 of the upcoming events.

1. Lifearts Society Helpout!

Task: Helpout at the annual Exhibition. You are the Guard, stage helper, buffet helper or even looking after the VIP’s food.

Date: 16th September 2008

Time: 5pm to 10pm(tentatively)

Location: National Library, Bugis

Those who stay near school, got bus to ferry you from and to SP.

CCA points?: confirm have!

Needed: 10(15 just in case)

Sidenote: Might have free dinner, and even a T-Shirt.

2. Kaleidoscope 2008

Task: To helpout at the booth, do some drawing, meet with other artist, have some fun, get a teacher even…

Location: Funan IT Mall(CityHall MRT)

Date: TBA might be in late October or early November… More time to Prepare artworks!

Time: 1pm to 8pm on both days

Helpers needed: 15 to take shifts on( 2 hours shift for a day)

CCA Points: Of course have.

Sidenote: Those who are want to showoff your art work… you can send them to us by 28th August to be showcase in kaleidoscope 2008.

3. Summer Matsuri @ VIVO

Task: To have fun! Any way we are going to be allocated a booth there… have no idea what to do there…

Location: VIVO City

Date: 30th, 31st August 2008

Time: 1pm to 6pm

Volunteers needed to run the booth…

Anime Chamber

Cathy’s E2MAX at cineleisure is working with GDH, Gonzo, to bring us anime chamber. Yah!

It’s going to be providing English Version of the animes made/produced by Gonzo or licenced by GDH. It’s the first time a Japanese company is stepping into the local market like this.

They are even going to be bringing a new anime, to be released in fall this year.( The one in the poster above)

It’s not a Gay, Yaoi show…

It’s in fact the opposite, it’s teaching those gays to become normal gradually…

Episode 6 proves it…

But this is not a review of episode 6. This is a recommendation to everyone, that this is a good anime, there are no female in the main cast and it’s focused on a bakery with a Gay patisserie(Baker). Comes also with underlying suspicious content where men love is show very very explicitly.

Some of the action will make girls blush and men… excited… not me…

This anime like many others, is a adaptation of a manga of the same name by Fumi Yoshinaga
, back in the year 1999 and have proven to be quite a popular ever since…

As you can see below the main cast… Starting from the left most, Tachibana, Ono, Kanda Eiji, Chikage. guess who’s gay and who’s not… and yes not everyone is gay.

Good Looking Character Designs

Anyway, hardcore YAOI hater shouldn’t watch this show… but for those looking for a nice quiet story and plot line, just nice for you…

For those with a sweet tooth, like me, you will love the show… Just listen to the recommendations, it’s sounds so delicious…

Hence this show is great and all should watch it why? Because there is the suspense, the character background, and the beautiful artworks(even comes with a cute side)… it gives you a smile in the heart and leaves you having this sweet feeling… which is good.

So do watch it. If possible…

I know that female will love this show thou…

But before you start flaming me for a bad review… This is again not a review… it’s a personal recommendation. And you have no need to download, you can watch it at Crunchyroll.

Oh who’s gay… hmm Ono is the gayest… and Chikage is just a very innocent man, eaten by a gay… His first time… sad… The other 2 are very normal, but Kanda Eiji post a risk…

Right. Exams are either here, or “Coming Soon!” like a bad movie. So.. what better way to de-stress than to join us for our usual non-sensical activities!!

Manga sessions are as usual, T4A51. Results from last week should be announced. More on the activities when you guys appear at class! @ 3pm.

Plamo as usual. Meet up at the clubhouse! @3pm, also.

Ok, what we do isn’t really non-sensical, but it is a good stress reliever! If you’re tied up in school work however, don’t be afraid not to turn up! Just let us know ya? ‘Cause we’ll miss ya T_T!

Singapore Garden Festival 2008.

The Singapore Garden Festival was the first garden show in the tropics showcasing award-winning garden and floral creations under one roof. The first show in 2006 was a roaring success and this year’s was no exception as well. Occupying the levels 4 and 6 of the Suntec Exhibition Centre, the 2008 Singapore Garden Festival was fully packed throughout the the 8 days from July 25th to August 1st. Other than being a feast to the eyes and nature lovers, avid photographers were also there busily snapping away. Sony Digital Workshop organised a special outing on the 28th July morning. Members were allowed to enter 1 hour earlier before the official opening time of 10am to snap away without the large crowds.

The MADhouse(FFVII, Chi’s sweet Home, Chobits and more) project is now on sale at all Poh Kim now… Do note that although it’s directed and animated by MADHouse… But it’s a really good film, however it does have it’s share of trouble…

The DVD release itself is a little disappointing thou… It didn’t come with Japanese dub, quite forgiveable given it’s American decent…

Although like i said the DVD release don’t have Japanese Dub and you are stuck with English for most, but given that this animated feature is made with english dub in mind. The english voice actors are actually quite good.

The feature itself don’t really have the hold that is found on traditional Highlander medias, with the ending being bland… Not enough emotion is found on the ending and it just feels weird…

Do note that the DVD is most likely a copy of the US release, meaning this is not the full original version that the director made. The America release is shorter then the original edit.
